Formula SAE at the University of Alberta is a student vehicle project in which students design build and test a formula style race car to compete in international collegiate competition. This project provides an opportunity for students to put their knowledge of automotive engineering into practice. Students learn to work in a team environment and gain technical experience in areas such as: suspension, engine and drive trains, thermodynamics, strength of materials, fluid dynamics, data acquisition, composites, testing and electronics.
The Formula SAE Student Vehicle Project at the University of Alberta is an exciting extracurricular program which challenges and grows students in all aspects of their educational and personal development.
